We are pleased to share that a review meeting of the NCN National Science Centre–funded M-ERA.NET HEVA (Hybrid Electrosynthesis of Value-Added Chemicals) project was recently held in ICRI-BioM, Łódź.
The meeting brought together our research team and our external partner, Dr. Ehiaze Ehimen from Atlantic Technological University Sligo, Ireland, to discuss the project’s progress on biopolymer production from acetate using genetically engineered microbial strains.
Discussions highlighted recent advances in strain optimization, process performance, and bioreactor process optimization, along with other strategies aimed at improving polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) yields.
The review demonstrated encouraging progress and reflected the strong collaborative momentum that continues to drive the project forward.
