Issam Thamer, a Ph.D. student from ICRI-BioM, recently immersed himself in the forefront of nanotechnology advancements at the INL - International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory in Braga, Portugal. From January 23 to 25, 2024, Thamer actively participated in the three-day Research Accelerator Program, focusing on nanoscale fabrication and nanoelectronics characterization for next-generation materials and devices.

Last week (Friday and Saturday) we enjoyed an evaluation visit of the International Scientific Committee members. Although some opinions were hard on us, it was very fruitful visit with lots of helpful suggestions for the future, constructive discussions with the Rector, as well as some nice informal conversations.

Today we had a ceremony at which the diploma of the first habilitation degree achieved at ICRI-BioM has been delivered by the Rector of TUL to Dr. Kumaravel. Congratulations again Vignesh! At the same ceremony, CEO of our Industrial Partner, Jerzy Pietrucha received his Ph.D. diploma. Congratulations Jurek as well!

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree with at least 10 years (senior PI) or 3 years (junior PI) of experience in biochemistry or biotechnology or polymer chemistry, international recognition for research accomplishments (ideally comparable to the ERC level), and possess effective leadership skills, together with a record as a mentor (senior position) of young scientists. We encourage female scientists to apply.
